Yummy Cupcake Brownies

These delicious and easy-to-make brownies were created by Denise at "If My Refrigerator Could Talk" and reposted here by permission. Yummy!!!

  • 1/2 cup butter, does not need to be softened
  • 6 ounces unsweetened chocolate, squares
  • 1 3/4 cups sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 teaspoons vanilla
  • 1 cup chopped nuts, walnuts or pecans


  1. Preheat oven to 350°.
  2. Spray an 8x8 inch cake pan with cooking spray.
  3. Melt the chocolate and butter together in a small saucepan, over low heat.
  4. Pour the melted chocolate into a large mixing bowl.
  5. Add in the sugar and flour and salt and beat with an electric mixer until combined.
  6. Add in the eggs, one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  7. Add in the vanilla.
  8. Fold in the nuts with a rubber spatula.
  9. Pour the batter into the prepared pan.
  10. Bake at 350° for 35 minutes.
