  2. Oh yes, I didn't even think about the rescue dogs as I was busy thinking about the people. They also played a big part in 9/11 and so many other disasters around the world. So a big thumbs up for them.

  3. Charming, and very appropriate. The contribution dogs have made to the human race in general is too easily overlooked.

    1. Hi Andrew. Thanks but I didn’t do the drawing, it came from the website about rescue dogs. It really is a nice drawing! I did take the photos of my two dogs, both adopted from shelters.

  9. You are so right, these dogs are heroes too. Thank you so much for your caring comments for Samson and me during the past week. The vet showed us how he gives eye drops, quickly from behind before the dog realizes what's happening. For us, it works best if my husband gives them without me there. I get nervous and Samson picks up on it and goes and tries to hide. My hubby has doctored on all our dogs and he's pretty good at it. Eyedrops are a first, however, but he tells me he now manages to get one drop in each eye without spilling. Which is good since the are so darned expensive.

    1. Inger, you are very welcome! I was sad to hear about Samson and I know how tough it is to have a dog lose his eyesight. It really helps that your husband is good at doctoring your dogs. My husband is much better at doing the eye drops than I am too. My heart goes out to you, your husband, and Samson!
